The biggest squarespace upgrade boils down to an aesthetic changes. They include :
- new visual language to make icons and buttons clearer, simpler, and more intuitive.
- more templates to choose from
- new features – such as Cover Pages, Google Apps integration, and Getty Images integration – but you have to pay for it
- annotations and other developer resources for Squarespace 7 – not ready yet.
The most useful (for me) change they’ve applied is LIVE EDITING. This is a real treat for those who had to switch between live mode and settings – adding css and not seeing how it actually looks like was a real pain.
