My WordPress performance plugins and server stack have moved
I’m doing a little bit of rebranding – Affiliate Web Designers has grown arms and legs. Originally intended as a place for affiliate marketers and affiliate advertisers to connect, my product development has really been driven by my clients.
Over the coming month I’ll be migrating more of the content from AWD over to my new site WPI – WPI stands for WordPress Intense or WP Intense – www.wpintense.com. I think it’s a far snappier name than Affiliate Web Designers and says a lot more about the products I have now.
Those products include:
WordPress Fast Server Stack
Built on Digital Ocean and based on a fork of the Mercury Stack – it’s a really fast and secure stack for hosting your WordPress sites. You don’t have to take my word for it – check out these reviews:
The performance difference was incredible, woocommerce site now loads much faster!
…pages loading super fast…
…My site is now faster than I ever thought possible for a WordPress site…
…The performance of my woocommerce site improved massively…

WordPress WPI Performance Plugin
Originally built to improve WooCommerce performance, it now also improves other aspects of your site’s performance including (but not limited to!) Custom Post Types, Search and more.
At the time of writing I have about 25 clients using this plugin – it’s still in beta and just made public last weekend so go grab yourself a copy.
WordPress Price Comparison Pro
One of my most sought-after plugins – it works with WooCommerce or stand-alone – what it does is scrape prices LIVE from other websites. So – for example – if you are advertising a Yeti Microphone through your website, you can add as many URLs as you can find for other places users can buy this microphone and the plugin will scrape the prices from those websites when the user visits the web page – a lot like how Skyscanner scrapes airline prices from other sites.
What this means is that your users don’t need to go research prices from everywhere because you have done the legwork for them. That’s great for keeping users on your site, for encouraging them to share your site and for improving your conversion rates.
Of course, these prices have hyperlinks on them to the source of the prices – you can monetize these links using your own affiliate links or you can use Skimlinks to monetize.
It integrates with WooCommerce or you can use it on its own with a shortcode.

The future of AWD
In all honesty, I haven’t really figured out what to do with this site in the future. Most of my work these days revolves around developing and supporting the plugins I’m making as well as optimizing client’s websites if they have some bespoke requirements.
One option is to make it a hub for affiliate marketers and affiliate advertisers to connect – there are a LOT of niche affiliate marketers out there looking to make some extra money on the side in their niche, or to grow their micro-business into a full salary-generating business and beyond. Equally, there are a lot of advertisers with niche products looking to share their excellent products with the wider world who would benefit from niche affiliate marketers focusing on their products.
So – it might become that – in the meantime – the majority of the content is remaining here until I figure this out but the 3 products above now have 301 redirects over to www.wpintense.com so if you’re an existing customer looking for support of those products, that’s where to look. Your accounts have all been migrated over too, so just visit that site and click the My Account link in the menu.
The future of WPI
Firstly – it’ll be the home of my plugins – WordPress performance and conversion optimisation plugins amongst other cool stuff. Mostly my plugins are focused on helping you grow a big store, so you need speed, security and you need conversions so you have the money to feed your growing business. That can be affiliate businesses, drop shipping, digital sales, lead generation or traditional (can you say traditional about online stores yet?) stores selling their own products.
I don’t know everything I’m going to add to WPI yet, but currently I’m in the process of adding a Stack Overflow style Q & A system complete with points and rewards for people answering and asking questions. Obviously, I want to have the most points on my own site, but I’d be very happy if this helps engage my clients and get them asking me questions online.
I’m still available on Skype and email for the meantime, but I really want to move away from answering people over Skype and email to answering people through my WPI site so that my answers and your questions can benefit the wider community. This also will make it less likely that questions you ask slip through my email net and go unanswered which must be frustrating if it has happened to you!
One thing I’m probably going to add is a pre-order system to WPI. As you may know I’m a very busy guy, so it’s difficult for me to fit in work on certain plugins even if I really want to. However, if I have a bunch of pre-orders for a new plugin or service or whatever, then that will give me the motivation and the argument to deliver that product. I’m still fleshing out plans for this – if you pre-order you’ll get some kind of bonus, like a longer support/upgrades period, and I’ll probably add some kind of sponsorship option and some lifetime support options so that clients who are desperate for this product/service/plugin to be made can tip it over the threshold. Hopefully that sounds exciting as those who pre-order will get to be involved in steering the direction of development.
If you have any comments on any of this I’ll be glad to hear and answer them in the comments section below.
